Dynamo Camp is the first summer camp in Italy to be structured specifically for children with serious or chronic illnesses who are currently in therapy or in post-hospitalization convalescence. The Camp is free of charge for children between the ages of 7 and 16 who live in Italy, although future developments will open the camp to children from other European nations as well. Continue
Each year in Italy, more than 10,000 young people contract serious and chronic illnesses. These children must be subjected to what are often invasive and long-term therapies that force them to spend long periods of time in the hospital. The conditions of the disease not only oblige them to deal with fear, fatigue, and often side effects, but also limit their social life with children their own age Continue>		The staff and volunteers play a fundamental role within the Camp, making it possible to complete the programme and sharing every aspect of the experience with the children. The Camp personnel are carefully selected according to criteria of preparation, understanding, enthusiasm, and knowledge, and receive intensive training in preparation for the sessions with the children.
